This painting, "All the Songs Ain't Gotta Be Sad," was created for my Nashville residency and special event with Live Nation Women, celebrating the artists, songwriters, and creative voices who shape the soul of Music City. Blending Nashville's legendary storytelling tradition with Ashley's signature humor, bold color, and empowering spirit, the work reflects the emotions that music can express even when words fall short. Its title honors the unspoken truths carried through melody, rhythm, memory, and shared experience—the feelings we recognize before they are ever explained. Vibrant energy, musical symbolism, and heartfelt storytelling transform this work into a powerful celebration of creative expression, feminine voices, and the songs that live within us whether or not they are ever sung aloud.
